Last week, I enthusiastically began my PGA training to become a golf instructor! Over the coming months, I will learn how to deliver inspiring coaching sessions and provide on-course instruction for junior golfers, senior beginners and recreational players. An important added benefit is that I will retain my amateur status after completing the programme.
The programme lasts five months and takes place at Prise d’Eau Golf Course. Nout Vos is my supervising golf professional, and under his guidance I will be assisting with the junior lessons at ’t Sybrook over the coming period. I am really looking forward to putting my knowledge into practice straight away!
The first week is already behind me: I have met some great people, learned an incredible amount and cannot wait to see what the rest of the programme has in store!
